Dark Lies—and the Truth That Sets You Free

There are days when the weight comes out of nowhere. When the quiet moments turn cruel, and you find yourself sitting in a room full of voices that don’t belong to God. You start to wonder if maybe… the enemy is right.
Maybe you are too broken. Maybe you don’t matter. Maybe this world would spin just fine without you in it. I’ve been there. And I know how convincing the darkness can be when you’re tired, lonely, and unsure of your worth. But friend, hear me now—those are not your thoughts. Those are whispers from the one who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy.
Here’s a list of the lies he tells... and the truth that your Father in Heaven has already spoken over you:
The Lie vs. God’s Truth
The Devil Might Whisper... | But God Says... |
You are unlovable | You are loved (Jer. 31:3) |
You are forgotten | You are chosen (1 Pet. 2:9) |
You are worthless | You are valued (Matt. 10:31) |
You are damaged | You are redeemed (Eph. 1:7) |
You are too sinful | You are forgiven (1 John 1:9) |
No one understands you | You are known (Ps. 139) |
You’re vulnerable | You are protected (Ps. 91:4) |
You’re just a burden | You are treasured (Deut. 7:6) |
You’re all alone | You are held (Isaiah 41:13) |
No one’s listening | You are heard (1 John 5:14) |
You’re invisible | You are seen (Gen. 16:13) |
You’re weak | You are strengthened (Isa. 40:31) |
You’ll never heal | You are healed (Isa. 53:5) |
You’re nothing special | You are set apart (Jer. 1:5) |
You’re ashamed | You are crowned with glory (Ps. 8:5) |
You’ll never be enough | You are established (2 Cor. 1:21) |
You’re rejected | You are adopted (Rom. 8:15) |
You’re on your own | You are never abandoned (Heb. 13:5) |
You’ll never change | You are a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17) |
You’re a mistake | You are His masterpiece (Eph. 2:10) |
Your life is pointless | You are a light in the world (Matt. 5:14) |
You are defeated | You are victorious (Rom. 8:37) |
You are unsafe | You are safe in His hands (John 10:28) |
The battle is real—but so is your identity in Christ. Don't let a passing whisper convince you to forget who you are in the eyes of the One who made you.
You were not created for despair. You were created to walk in the light, clothed in truth, and crowned with glory. When the enemy speaks, you don’t need to argue. You only need to remember.
